Manhattan Schoolhouse daycare provides a Reggio Emilia inspired environment in which our youngest children develop loving relationships with their teachers and peers.
Children are taught to respect themselves and others, learn from one another, and express their needs and ideas kindly.
As the children grow into preschoolers, they learn to collaborate with each other and express their understanding of the world. In every room of the daycare, children are provided with abundant opportunities to study natural materials and their environment.
All children participate in weekly specials. Enrichment classes include music, yoga/infant massage, dance, soccer or gym, and a language. The children enjoy outdoor time throughout the year. Our infants use strollers, while the older children take neighborhood walks and play in nearby parks.
Manhattan Schoolhouse serves nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks to the children starting in the toddler program. Parents of children in the infant rooms provide all meals until the children transition to the next program.
All policies and procedures are guided by the Department of Health regulations for early childhood programs.
